WHAT FOR?
“The silences of war”
The series “What for?” deals with the great silence of the aftermath of war: not a living soul, neither human nor animal, and the only presence is the sound of the wind passing through bombed-out buildings. Rovere has tried to capture the cold and peculiar atmosphere through a specific plastic treatment.

FENÊTRES SUR NUIT
WINDOWS ON THE DARK
A light that converts destruction and transfigures the absurd..

LUMIÈRES INTANGIBLES
The “Intangible Lights” series is rooted in a return to the essence and the timeless. Against the current craze for a non-discrimination between the hideous and the sublime, this series of images treats light in a strong and singular way to express the eternal beauty of the naked body, thus placing itself in the continuity of an imperishable theme for 30,000 years.

TRACES & IMPRINTS
The series “Traces and Imprints” questions the boundaries between representation and imagination. Through a sophisticated iterative process of integrating bodies into natural elements (bark, sand, dead leaves, rocks…), Rovere creates a strange universe that sometimes leads the observer to make unexpected imaginary discoveries.

ORIGINEL
The series “Originel” features spaces of fragile material ordered by complex interferences which exist only at a unique tiny moment. On the left, the black and white seriesreleases itself from any mark of day-night temporality. On the right, this series presents the liquid material and its energy, freed from any orientation.
VENEZIA
« La Serinissima capovolta »
The series “La Serinissima capovolta” offers an original vision of Venice in the rain. The perspective of the ground, inverted in favour of the reflection of the palaces and monuments, is disconcerting for the eye: the images, simultaneously right side up and upside down, force the eye to perform an unexpected exercise of attention.

MONOPTYQUES
Both synthetic and organic images, the “Monoptychs” series is made up of photographs of natural elements (plants, minerals) which are worked and then composed in the manner of a kaleidoscope.
The prints are limited, all formats combined, to (depending on the work) 1 to 8 original copies numbered and signed by the artist (on the back and/or on a certificate of authenticity).
Most of the works are proposed in different formats. Some have been designed in ultra high resolution for XXL formats of up to four metres or more.
